Video Production and Direction at Men’s Health

 
 

At Men’s Health, I played a pivotal role in video production, collaborating with the video team to deliver high-quality, engaging content across fitness, fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle topics.

My contributions spanned concept development, on-set direction, post-production, and the integration of cohesive visual elements to elevate the brand’s storytelling across its app and website.

Lifestyle Video Series:

  • Produced 3–4 videos per month as part of the Men’s Health lifestyle series.

  • Collaborated with an illustrator to design cohesive, visually engaging title sequences for all videos, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Participated on set to oversee production elements, ensuring all necessary footage and creative assets were captured.

  • Worked on edits to seamlessly incorporate title sequences, lower thirds, and other graphic elements, delivering polished final products.

 

Body Science Initiative:

  • Developed a unique "Body Science" section for the magazine website and app, focusing on enhancing user engagement through illustrated animations.

  • Partnered with animators to create captivating videos that brought complex fitness and health topics to life.

  • Delivered videos that combined scientific accuracy with visual appeal, enriching the user experience and driving traffic to the platform.

Outcomes:

  • Increased Engagement: Videos consistently attracted high user interaction, with the Body Science section alone driving a measurable increase in time spent on the app and website.

  • Enhanced Brand Identity: Cohesive title sequences and polished visual elements strengthened the brand’s aesthetic and professional image across platforms.

  • Expanded Content Reach: The app and website gained recognition for their dynamic video offerings, attracting new users and retaining existing ones through fresh, engaging content.

  • Cross-Platform Integration: Videos successfully bridged content across Men’s Health’s app, website, and magazine, creating a unified user experience.

Through innovative video direction and close collaboration with the creative team, I contributed to Men’s Health’s growth as a leader in fitness and lifestyle storytelling, delivering compelling video content that resonated with its audience.
